"These 2 experts can confirm for you that their treatment caused my Mensa Cattell IQ Test scores to rise from 74 to 143…"

The following is an example of an email letter I often send to others who ask for information about Dyslexia or a testimonial about the work of Dr. Levinson or Helen Irlen. I hope it helps you.

Dear Sir/Madam:

Purpose of this letter is to let you and your colleagues know that as a direct result of the brilliant treatment methods that I continue to find remarkable and miraculous, namely those of Dr. Harold Levinson, MD PC and Helen Irlen, MA MFCC.

I have recently earned my second Masters Degree, Summa Cum Laude (with Highest Honors/Distinction) 6/2000, an MS degree in Energy Management with 3 professional diploma certificates annexed thereto; representing 3 minors, Environmental Management, Industrial Labor (Union) Relations and Human Resource Management. My GPA was 3.9x and my thesis on
Nuclear Power Reactor Plant Bankruptcy Law Case Studies Analyses 1960-2000 earned an A. I received my MBA in Finance with a minor in Accounting Summa Cum Laude, with Distinction/Highest Honors during Spring 1990, with a 3.67 GPA and a 4.0x Finance GPA.

Each took me 7 years part time (18 credits per year) to earn the 2 graduate degrees, as I work fulltime, but it hopefully stands as ''proof'' albeit anecdotal, that Levinson and Irlen each deserve a medal for being vital to my having achieved these graduate school degrees (and I also earned other certificate diplomas in Mathematics, Financial Statement Analysis, and Credit Analysis).

Sadly, there seem to always be detractors, skeptics, nay-sayers and critics who pooh-pooh and try to discredit and impugn these two experts. Thus, this long overdue letter was drafted to you. (p.s. I forget to mention that I play violin part-time in 6 symphonic orchestras, sing as a mezzo-soprano with an opera chorale, and am a paid classical concert pianist for a church, play harpsichord too, and raise two large tropical parrots).

My fulltime job has been as a financial analyst for a huge globally prominent top multi-billion dollar Fortune 500 corporation, concurrent with my part time graduate school work in 1984-2000 inclusive, notwithstanding my dyslexia, learning disabilities, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Scotopic Sensitivity Irlen Syndrome (SSS) (see www.Irlen.com, see
Reading By The Colors, a book by Helen Irlen MA MFCC), Traumatic Brain Injury post-concussion post-whiplash syndrome (TBI), and Cerebellar Vestibular Inner-ear caused Cardiac Mitral Valve Prolapse Syndrome.

I still wear my midnite-blue/purple Irlen filter eye lenses approximately 18 hours per day since 2/90 until the present and am still on a full dose regimen of Dr Levinson's inner-ear medications and related products, since 9/84 until the present, and cannot praise these two concurrent therapies enough! The main inner-ear medicines I take are Ritalin, Meclizine, Corgard, Marezine Atarax and Sudafed. (Their generic names in the above order respectively are Methylphenidate, Antivert, Nadolol, Cyclizine, Hydroxyzine (aka Vistaril) and Pseudoephedrine.)

Additionally, these 2 experts can confirm for you that their treatment caused my Mensa Cattell IQ Test scores to rise from 74 to 143, the latter at the 96th percentile and caused my GRE/GMAT scores to soar approximately 150 points per section. For instance, my highest Graduate Record Exam (GRE) score was a 3-way tie (Verbal, Quantitative Math type section, and Abstract Logic Reasoning) at 660, which corresponded with percentiles at or above 90th! I also completed 3 years of part-time doctoral Finance/Business Management studies with a 3.5x GPA, with 4.0x in Finance, 1990-1993.

Please share my experiences enumerated herein with anyone you wish and please feel free to copy/forward this letter to others.

Dr Levinson's patient for over 16 years now

PS. Next year I will have earned my third Masters degree Summa Cum Laude, in Environmental Business Management/Technology. This year to date, I have already completed 3 graduate courses…each with an A! I, also, earned my 40-hour OSHA Occupational Safety and Health Hazardous Waste Operations Certificate with a grade of A (the Midterm Exam grade was 96.5).

Recently, I received this question via email and thought that I would share my answer here.

"Can you tell me the medication you are taking and why each one individually helps this disorder? I am concerned about the symptoms you describe such as shakiness/tremor, heart pounding and etc. I know I am no doctor, but isn't this signs of addiction?"

My 6 medications are:
      Corgard (aka nadolol),
      Meclizine (aka Bonine, Antivert),
      Marezine (aka cyclizine, buclizine),
      Sudafed,
      Atarax (aka hydroxyzine, vistaril),
      Ritalin (aka methylphenidate).

The medication dosage wear-off signs are NOT, repeat NOT, related at all to addiction. Let me give you a simple analogy that should illustrate my point. Many diabetics get episodes of low blood sugar, pre-insulin shock symptoms, when their insulin levels are off-kilter, once they ingest/inject what they need, they are fine. Also, many epileptics get "auras" (forewarning type) before seizures or convulsions, thus signaling them that they need to take additional medication and rest. My inner ear meds work on similar principles.
